Here’s What To Expect When You Have Your Website Designed By 3 Frogs
If you’re like most people, this is your first time launching a website. “Where do I start” was the first question asked by most of our clients. Here is a brief description of our process and some tips to consider before you begin. If you have any questions feel free to contact us for more information.
Register Your Domain Name
You’ll need a domain name before doing anything. You can register your URL at GoDaddy or take advantage of our domain name registry service and save the hassle of yearly renewals. Before registering a name consider it’s length, the keywords of your business, and the which domain suffix (.com, .bix, .edu, .org, .co, or one of the others available.
Setting Up A Hosting Environment
We setup a home for your new website on our Turbo Server. We provide you with email, SSL, Anti-Spam, a Database, A WordPress Website and Secure Accounts for 3rd party professionals. You’ll select a hosting plan and decide whether you would like us to manage your site or select the DIY plan.
We configure your email server and set up any accounts you need created.
SSL Certificate
We install your SSL Certificate and secure your site with the HTTPS protocol.
Anti-Spam & Virus
We harden your site against attackers and spam.
Database
We setup and configure your WordPress database.
WordPress
We install a WordPress website template and update it with the latest plugins.
Accounts
We create any user accounts you need for media and other marketing professionals.
The Website Design Process
During the website design phase you’ll talk to a developer about your vision for the site. You’ll discuss layouts, designs, colors, images, and lead collection.
Your developer will build a first draft for you to preview. You’ll both work together making any changes necessary until you’re both satisfied with the website. At this point you’ll have a website you absolutely love, and we’ll have another satisfied client.
Website Text
Know what you want to say to your visitors. Write it down and give the page a name.
Images
Write down what type of images you would like added to your site from our stock image gallery.
Colors
Think about the colors you'll need to convey your message to your users.
Layout
Look at other websites you like and come up with a layout you like.
Lead Collection
Consider which method of lead collection you would like to use on your website.
Fonts
If you have a specific font style you like, let us know so we can download it for you.
